Laura Mercier Silk Creme 'Cream Ivory' RRP: £33
I bought my first bottle of this around a year and a half ago, seeing as it is a little pricey it has been my special occasion foundation or the one I reached out for when my skin was having bad days and needed a little pick me up. The packaging states that it has a 'luminous coverage' and I think that is the perfect way to describe the lovely dewy finish it creates as well as giving you as little or as much coverage as you need without looked caked in make up.
The shade colour range doesn't appear to be extensive but the shade 'Cream Ivory' is absolutely perfect for my skin tone, even with the dark morning make up routines starting to come in I'm 100% trusting in that this foundation won't give me that horrible orange jawline or look streaky. The product itself is quite thick and almost resembles a cream rather than a liquid which makes the application process quite a bit easier. The coverage is definitely build able for a night out but the instant coverage you get from a thin layer is good enough to cover most blemishes.
The only downside to Laura Mercier is the fact that my local counter is located in House of Fraser, which I don't mind but when you have a Boots Advantage Card and a Debenhams Beauty Card it is a little bit of a pain in the arse UNTIL the assistant gave me the New Recognition card for House of Fraser which has completely and utterly turned me into a HOF shopper now seeing as you get a point for absolutely anything you buy in store and two points for any Beauty purchase then in return you get to spend your points as money on future purchases.
