Bobbi Brown's Foundation

Bobbi Brown, a brand I wasn't completely familiar with until recently as the only product I had was my holy grail concealer duo. Being such a good product I thought I'd best see what else Bobbi Brown had to offer. It is safe to say I fell in love with the whole range, if you haven't already you HAVE to go have a look at the Christmas sets they have this year!

Wanting a flawless, soft to touch and non-cakey foundation is key for me, I tend to reach out for super high coverage liquids such as Double Wear so getting used to a foundation stick was a little difficult. Coming in the sleek gloss black packaging as always, the foundation stick is a compact bullet with a wind up motion to reveal more product….pretty straight forward right? For me the packaging was one of the main selling points, a slimline tube and not being a liquid that could potentially leak is always a bonus for a handbag throw around.

Back to the foundation itself, you can apply it one of two ways; draw all over your face and blend or take your brush and load up the product and apply all over the face (Personally I like the latter, it makes your product last a hell of a lot longer and you don't over-apply too much foundation) I tend to use a buffing brush or stippling as I don't feel as if I'm painting it onto my face as much.

Building is key with this foundation, thin layers together build up this lovely finish to the skin that oozes dewy-ness and doesn't look heavy sitting on the surface of your face. Those of you with super oily skin naturally be careful as it does turn a little oily throughout the day so I would definitely say it is aimed for more combination to dry skin. For the past few weeks this has been my go-to foundation and even keeps up with my super high coverage foundations when my skin decides to dislike me.

With Bobbi Brown being a concession brand I would advise you to seek out your nearest counter and get colour matched right away, it is definitely a foundation to be tried! They have quite a range of shades to suit all skin tones too.
