Subtle Gold Shimmery Eye

Christmas is coming and that means one thing…glitter obviously! The high street is already taking advantage of this time of the year and stocking limitless sparkly sequin numbers for all those Christmas and New Years parties that are creeping up on us. Don't just stop with the dress but go full force with a little shimmer on your eyes. Sparkly make up isn't for everybody but if there is ever a time to get away with it then Christmas is probably it. Pigments are incredible for glittered looks but messy is an understatement and if you're stressing about getting your hair and nails sorted then a glitter bomb face needs to be the last of your worries.

Maybelline's Colour Tattoo pots are great for a quick shimmery look, they're a cream eye shadow that come in a variety of colours including 'Eternal Gold' - a gold shimmer that can be built up to create a really bold eye. Being cream shadows means that they are perfect for a subtle eye when blended or can be built and layered up to create a strong look. 'On and on bronze' is a gorgeous copper bronze tone (if you didn't guess from the name)

For a quick day-to-day look that keeps that festive vibe, I opted for a light and subtle gold teamed with a bold liner and lashings of mascara.

Also take a thin angled liner brush and use the cream pots as liners, the jet black is what I've used here to create a winged liner, the consistency isn't as thick as a gel liner so it glides on super easy and then if wanted you can smudge it you create a worn, grunge look.
