Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus
A lightweight powder to finish my make up has usually been my sole reasoning for purchasing any compact in the past until a recent moment of desperation in London's St. Pancras at their Mac store when a cold induced bright red nose situation was going off all over my face. After pointing out my red irritating nose (it definitely didn't need pointing out, my nose was glowing) I basically asked for anything quick and easy to cover it up throughout the night ahead.
This is where Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation came to the rescue, a decent coverage powder that lightly sits on the skin and literally makes you feel like you've got zero foundation on when applied alone. Safe to say my red nose issue was over and it's been a daily handbag staple ever since.
I grabbed it in the shade NC20 which is a perfect match for my skin tone, when I'm heading out at night I'll give my skin a quick brush over with this after applying my usual liquid foundation but for day-to-day use recently I've been able to use this alone and it gives me just enough coverage.
The compact itself comes complete with a mirror and base compartment with a sponge, who knew such a small addition of a sponge would make all the difference when throwing it in your handbag…gone are the days are rummaging around trying to found the brush I packed to apply it.
