This is where you'll find a handy guide to help you with your Pet Nose Impression Kit to get the best possible results.
The kit is made up of two stages, firstly creating your impression and then secondly, casting your mould to create your 3D nose print. Whilst the materials are the same for everybody, every single result will be very different from one to the next. Please take some time to read through your booklet as well as watching our video before working with your own pet.

Hints & Tips

The MOST important thing with this kit is SPEED!! With the first step of this kit, you have a maximum of 3 minutes from mixing to completing your impression.

Get your pet ready first! This is so important. If you mix your putty then go to find your pet (or a pair of helping hands) to prepare them, your putty will have dried out entirely before you've reached your pet. Time is key with this kit so being prepared prior is crucial to getting the results you want. 

Even if you think your pet is going to be okay, it's a totally new thing for them to experience so I would best advise a pair of helping hands regardless.

Work Fast! The impression putty will start drying as soon as you mix it, to avoid it drying out, work as quickly as possible. I'm talking mix it in no more than 30 seconds to give yourself around 2-3 minutes to press.

Be Brave! Your pet can handle a little more pressure than you may think. Unfortunately once pressed, we don't advise rolling the putty again for a second attempt as the putty will most likely begin to dry out by this point so it's a one hit wonder! 

To reuse your measuring cup & spatula, simply wash them straight away with hot soapy water. There'll be enough solution to pour multiple casts of your mould.

Do not wash your blue mould. Once you've poured a cast and it is dry, the mould will simply come away from the surface. Any left over bits will easily come out using your finger or dry panit brush.

Wear Gloves // So this is for no reason other than to prevent pressing your own finger print into your mould and to purely get your pets nose pattern.

Once finished, grab a nail file to adjust your desired shape as well as to create smooth & clean edges.

Please Note

We have added additional moulding paste to our shop if you require more moulding material to the four pots in your kit (this could be for extra moulds or if you have more than 1 pet). After a lot of practice as well as feedback, we know that our putty has an active time of nothing more than 3 minutes from initial mixing right through to pressing which we have tried our best to explain in our instruction booklet & video as well as on this hints & tips page. It's a very quick process and one that we best advise to watch our video several times & be sure to have a plan of action with your pet prior to mixing your moulding paste.

Due to the kits being a non profit kit, we are unfortunately unable to send out more moulding materials free of charge due to drying quickly. We are so sorry for any disappointment this may cause but please just work quickly when capturing your pets in step one to achieve the best results from your kit.
